Operating result (Translation) November 8, 2012 Subject : Clarification of Change in Company Performance Exceeding 20 percent Attention : Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to notify the company and its subsidiaries' performance as stated in the Comprehensive income statements for the third quarter and nine-month period ended on September 30, 2012 as follows: The third quarter 2012 - Company and its subsidiaries' sales revenue of Baht 622.50 million decreased Baht 16.68 million or 2.61% with the net profit of Baht 61.13 million decreasing by Baht 15.86 million or 20.60% from the same period of 2011. The nine-month period 2012 - Company and its subsidiaries' sales revenue of Baht 1,929.21 million increased Baht 105.96 million or 5.81% with the net profit of Baht 226.92 million increasing by Baht 6.74 million or 3.06% from the same period of 2011. Because of: 1) Slowdown world economy has affected Company and its subsidiaries' export to ease by 9.65% (Baht 23.02 million) in third quarter and accumulately by 11.61% (Baht 80.96 million) in three quarters. 2) Increasing competition caused domestic sales to grow at a slower rate by 1.58% or Baht 6.34 million in third quarter and by 16.61% or Baht 186.93 million in three quarters. 3) Other income has decreased by 18.87% or Baht 6.81 million. 4) Sales and Administrative expenses has risen Baht 6.54 million or 6.17% in third quarter and Baht 22.52 million or 7.30% in three quarters extensively due to personnel and sales related activity.
