(Translation) August 11, 2006 Subject : Company performance for the second quarter 2006 Attention : Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to inform the performance of the company as stated in the second quarter Income Statement as of June 30, 2006. The second quarter 2006, the turnover of the company and its subsidiary of Baht 587.58 million increased from the same quarter of previous year by Baht 45.93 million or 8.48 percent, net profit of Baht 73.50 million increased from the same quarter of previous year by Baht 16.14 million or 28.14 percent due to the increasing sale, cost of goods sold decrease and administration and selling expenses increase at the lower rate than the increase in sale and reversing of the loss from the investment impairment of Baht 11.08 million. Dividend income from investment decreased Baht 7.72 million because some dividend income had been recognized in first quarter. The performance of the company for the first 6 months of year 2006, the turnover of the company and its subsidiary of Baht 1,168.16 million increased from the same period last year by Baht 101.90 million or 9.56 percent, net profit of Baht 166.39 million increased from the same period last year by Baht 50.28 million or 43.30 percent due to : 1. The company can extend to reach more target customers which results mainly from the efficient sales management and increasing of products value. 2. The effective control of cost of goods produced results in cost of goods sold decreasing from 73.46 percent in 2005 to 71.75 percent in 2006, or by 1.71 percent. 3. Dividend and interest income from investments grew by Baht 16.28 million. 4. The profit from reversing of the loss from the investment impairment of Baht 11.08 million.
