On June 9th, 2004, Thanulux Public Company Limited, under Saha Group has officially
introduced the newest innovated fabric created by Thai folk wisdom named "COTTAZILK" into the
market. The grand opening called "The World Phenomenon of Thai Silk and Cotton" was held at
The Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.
COTTAZILK, the newest innovated fabric blended between Thai silk and cotton yarn,
generated the properties of shinning, elegant, silk-like fabric with smooth comfort feeling and easy
care as cotton, is created to serve consumer's needs. Thanulux Public Company Limited expects that
CottaZilk would help to expand Thai silk market and further apparel manufacturing industry in term
of commerce that allies with the government policy to promote Bangkok Fashion City. For more than
a year, Thanulux Public Company Limited has put all efforts to develop CottaZilk.
In the first stage, before extending the innovated fabric to other potential markets, the
company will use CottaZilk to produce products for the brands under Saha Group including BSC,
ARROW, Guy Laroche and DAKS. The target customers are classified to three groups; current
customers of silk fabric, customers who are not used to wear silk fabric, and foreigners who are
appreciated Thai silk. With a high quality, it is believed to be well accepted by customers within
a short while. In the beginning, CottoaZilk will be used to produce men's wear such as shirts and
neckties. Later on it will also be used to produce women's wear. Recently,the manufacturing of CottaZilk
implemented by Thanulux Public Company Limited is the most well creativity done by Thai folk wisdom.
