(Translation) August 9, 2000 Subject : Companys performance for the second quarter in 2000 Attention : Director and Manager of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to inform the performance as shown in the financial statement for the second quarter in 2000. The companys net profit, the same period of time, was different more than 20% from last year. Net profit in 2000 was Baht 67.02 million, net profit in 1999 was Baht 36.44 million. It increased Baht 30.58 million from last year or was equal 83.92%. The accumulated profit in 2000 was Baht 113.98 million as for Baht 65.89 million in 1999, it increased Baht 48.09 million or equal 72.99% which was the result of the decreased cost of goods sold, the increased sale and other income (consulting fee and dividends).
