Operating result (Translation) May 15, 2013 Subject : Clarification of Change in Company Performance Exceeding 20 percent Attention : Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to notify the Company and its subsidiaries performance as stated in Comprehensive Income Statements for the first quarter ended on March 31, 2013 as follows. The Company and its subsidiaries' sales revenue of Baht 627.72 million decreased from the same quarter of 2012 by Baht 34.60 million or 5.22%, net profit of Baht 52.85 million decreased from the same quarter of 2012 by Baht 41.06 million or 43.72%. Because of: 1. Turnover decreased Baht 34.60 Million or 5.22% due to : 1.1. Local sales down Baht 9.59 million or 2.08% because of consumer expenditure adjustment. 1.2. Export sales eased by Baht 25.01 million or 12.38% due to Baht strengthened relative to US Dollars, Euro and Yen. 2. 2013 cost of goods sold of 72.63% over 2012's 67.48% by 5.15% due to around 40% wages hikes. 3. Selling and administrative expenses rose by Baht 11.05 million or 11.10%, mainly from increasing personnel supporting business volume and sales promotion expenditure.
