Attention : Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to inform the performance of the company as stated in the third quarter and the nine months of the year Income Statement as of September 30, 2007 as below: - The third quarter 2007, the sale revenue of the company and its subsidiaries of Baht 477.13 million decreased from the same quarter last year by Baht 24.42 million or 4.87%, net profit Baht 41.41 million increased from the same quarter last year by Baht 1.91 million or 4.85% - The performance for the nine months of 2007, the sale revenue of the company and its subsidiaries of Baht 1,458.37 million decreased from the same period last year by Baht 211.34 million or 12.66%, net profit Baht 154.33 million decreased from the same period last year by Baht 51.56 million or 25.04% Due to: 1. The decreasing of local sale compared with the same period last year, in accordance with the economic slow down. 2. Effect from the Thai Baht strengthening, the company had more export than import transactions, creating less profit to the company. 3. The decreasing ratio of expenses is lesser than the decreasing ratio of the sale revenue. The company changed its accounting policy on investment in subsidiaries in the separate financial statement from the equity method to the cost method in quarter 1/2007 according to the new regulation in TAS 44. The effect from the restating in the comparative financial statement caused the increase in the beginning retained earnings as of January 1, 2007 by the amount of Baht 1.51 million to Baht 1,431.72 million and decrease in the beginning retained earnings as of January 1, 2006 by the amount of Baht 4.37 million to Baht 1,319.32 million. This affects the net profit of third quarter 2007 as follows.
