(Translation) November 10, 2006 Subject : Company performance for the third quarter 2006 Attention : Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to inform the performance of the company as stated in the third quarter Income Statement as of September 30, 2006, which net profit changed more than 20% compared to the previous year. Net profit of third quarter 2006 of Baht 39.50 million eased from that of the same period last year of Baht 80.41 million by Baht 40.91 million or 50.87%. The details were as follows : 1. The total sales of third quarter 2006 of Baht 501.55 million decreased from the same quarter 2005 by Baht 100.06 million or 16.63% due to the political uncertainty which caused the economic slow down, the decreasing number of tourist and the inflation inducing the purchasing power of the consumer. Beyond that, the purchase order from the foreign customers had reduced due to the economic slow down of their countries and the depreciation of USD relatively caused all other currencies including Thai Baht to strengthen. This resulted in lesser amount received from export. 2. Cost of goods sold for the third quarter 2006 was Baht 367.07 million decreasing from the same quarter 2005 by Baht 50.90 million or 12.18%. It decreased at a lower rate than the decrease in the total sales then the cost of goods sold to the total sales increased from 69.48% in 2005 to 73.19% in 2006. 3. Sale and administrative expenses for the third quarter 2006 was Baht 100.10 million increasing from the same quarter 2005 by Baht 4.23 million or 4.41%, mainly from the personnel for support the future competition and inventory management expenses. The performance of the company for 9 months of 2006, the total sales of the company of Baht 1,669.71 million increased from the same period of the previous year by Baht 1.84 million or 0.11 %. Net profit of Baht 205.89 million rose from the same period of the previous year by Baht 9.37 million or 4.77%. Please kindly acknowledge accordingly.
