(Translation) February 25, 2003 Subject : Company's performance for the year in 2002 Attention : Director and Manager of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to inform the performance as show in the financial statement for the accumulated profit in 2002. The company's net profit, the same period of time, was different more than 20% from last year. Net profit in 2002 was Baht 174.43 million, net profit in 2001 was Baht 247.38 million. It decreased Baht 72.94 million from last year or equaled to 29.49% as due to: 1. 2002 sales decreased 15.06% from 2001 sales or Baht 254.05 million. It dued to the sluggish situation and the launched merchandises which did not meet the consumer's require. 2. Sale and administration expenses in 2002 is higher than 2001 amounting Baht 44.36 million or 20.75%. It dued to higher expenses from the item of human resource, information technology, the administration expenses for merchandise and the business development are preparing for building up the stronger competition.
