(Translation) May 13, 1999 Subject : Company's performance for the first quarter in 1999 Attention : Director and Manager of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Thanulux Public Company Limited would like to inform the performance as shown in the financial statement for the first quarter in 1999. The company's net profit, the same period of time, was different more than 20% from last year. Net profit in 1999 was Baht 29.45 million, net profit in 1998 was Baht 79.99 million. It decreased Baht 50.54 million from last year or was equal to 63.18%. The explanation of the decline of profit are as followings :- 1. In 1999, the company gained Baht 1.56 million from foreign exchange. In 1998, the company got Baht 27.39 million. It decreased Baht 25.83 million. The Baht was more stable. 2. The other income decreased in the item of consulting fee from affiliated companies for 89.54%. Please kindly acknowledge the above matters.
